A Skills Based Approach

My expertise and range of practice make me uniquely qualified to serve clients from all walks of life. I am one of the few psychologists in North America who are board certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). This credential is intended to signify the highest levels of expertise and practice in forensic psychology, and is a distinction awarded to few practitioners.

My practice has ranged from urban and rural court systems along the East Coast to maximum-security prisons in the Midwest, city forensic hospitals, private practice, and U.S. Veterans centers in the DC metro area. I am the only DC-based psychologist who maintains full licensure across Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

This makes me uniquely skilled at working with individually and culturally diverse clients of all ages, backgrounds, gender identities, and abilities. I take a skills-based approach to assessment, and I understand that having the right services and supports in place reduces court involvement and makes our communities safer.
